Why I Cancelled Netflix
I've watched Netflix in China now for about three years, faithfully paying the $8 or so every month. However, Netflix recently stopped allowing computers with VPN's to stream movies. Since Netflix is blocked in China, this is the only way I was watching it here. By not allowing VPN's, Netflix has made it impossible for me to watch their movies in China. As a result, I instantly cancelled my subscription and bought a subscription to Amazon Prime. I'm pleasantly surprised by their collection of movies, and I'm happily streaming again in China.

Hobbit Movie Series Quick Review
I saw the final Hobbit movie last night. I always enjoy taking a trip to Middle Earth, even if the movies fall short of Lord of the Rings status. I feel there was too much filler in each of the Hobbit movies, and that they should have edited the three movies down to make two great movies. But only two movies would mean less money. And, as this movie pointed out, the allure of box office dragon gold is very powerful.
